Buckeye Lake Resident Sentenced 11-15 Years for Aggravated Vehicular Homicide in Delaware County, Columbus Police Seek Suspect in Kroger Theft

Mary Carol San-Filippo of Buckeye Lake received a sentence of 11 to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault. On November 2, 2024, San-Filippo was driving under the influence of alcohol when her vehicle crossed the center line on State Route 3 and collided with another vehicle, as WBNS reported.

The Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the crash resulted in the death of Tyesha Brown, the driver of the struck vehicle, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, two individuals from another vehicle were seriously injured, this incident left a permanent scar on the community.

In a separate incident, Columbus police are searching for a woman involved in a theft at a local Kroger store. Reported by FOX28 Columbus, authorities shared surveillance photos of the woman handling a handbag containing around $2,000 in foreign cash, which she subsequently walked away with on June 29. Investigators have pointed out that the suspect made no attempts to return the handbag or find its rightful owner…
