MOUNT AIRY, Ohio (WKRC) — Residents of the Kirby Avenue Apartments are expressing relief after a judge declared the complex a public nuisance due to ongoing issues such as bugs, mold, a wet basement, and non-functioning utilities.
Court documents revealed that the property management company, Prodigy, has been spending thousands of dollars on itself rather than addressing necessary repairs across more than two dozen buildings, including fixing a sewage issue.
Kathy McRae-Peeks, a resident since 2018, described the deterioration of the apartments due to a lack of attention and little to no response from Prodigy. She expressed hope that the judge’s ruling will bring positive change…
