DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) – A Licking County woman received a maximum sentence after a multi-vehicle crash that killed one person and injured two.
According to the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office, Mary Carol San-Filippo of Buckeye Lake will serve 11-15 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault after a crash that occurred on State Route 3 in Genoa Township on Nov. 2, 2024.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that San Filippo, 66, was driving under the influence of alcohol, heading south, when she drove across the center line on Route 3 and into oncoming northbound traffic. Filippo struck a vehicle driven by Tyesha Brown of Birmingham, Alabama, head-on.
