Bread sold at Kroger, Walmart recalled. See the full list

Nearly 900 loaves of bread sold at Kroger and Walmart stores in Ohio and 11 other states have been recalled by the manufacturer for undeclared allergens.

Hartford Bakery, Inc. initiated the voluntary recall after it discovered that 883 loaves of bread distributed in “Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf” contained visible hazelnuts, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. While the packaging states “May Contain Tree Nuts,” it does not state that it “contains hazelnuts.”

People with a nut allergy or severe sensitivity to hazelnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products…
