COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A real estate investment company that owns shopping malls across the nation and in Mexico has purchased Polaris Fashion Place.
O’Connor Capital Partners announced on Wednesday that it has consolidated 100% ownership of Polaris, after previously being an investor of the central Ohio mall for more than decade. O’Connor will assume full operational control of the shopping property, overseeing day-to-day management, leasing and operations through the existing on-site team, the announcement said.

“This acquisition reflects our long-term confidence in the Columbus market and in Polaris Fashion Place as a cornerstone asset,” said Bill O’Connor, CEO of O’Connor Capital Partners, in a statement. “By curating a thoughtful tenant mix and continuing to deliver a best-in-class experience, we will ensure that Polaris remains a cornerstone of the community.”
The investment company didn’t disclose the sale price in Wednesday’s announcement.
The acquisition comes after Washington Prime Group, the mall’s previous owner, announced in April it would sell Polaris and the 70 other retail centers it owns across the country, including The Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek and Great Lakes Mall in Mentor. The group had also submitted a letter to the city that said 139 employees at the company’s Westerville headquarters at 4900 E. Dublin Granville Rd. will be terminated…
