Ohio DOT to spend $150 million to build 1,400 new truck parking spaces statewide

On Tuesday, Ohio transportation officials unveiled a plan to significantly increase the number of available truck parking spaces statewide in an effort to reduce crashes.

During a July 29, 2025, news conference at a rest area on located on I-71 in Warren County, Ohio, Governor Mike DeWine and representatives from Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced a plan to expand commercial truck parking at dozens of locations statewide.
