COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Central Ohio Transit Authority is suspending all fares on Tuesday due to heat.
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Tuesday due to extreme temperatures. Any time a heat or cold advisory is issues by the NWS, COTA suspends fares.
“COTA offers this community service to encourage individuals who need to reduce exposure to extreme temperatures to have a safe and reliable means of transportation to access facilities that provide relief, including warming and cooling shelters, libraries, recreation centers, and other places of shelter,” the agency said in a statement…
