Man arrested after death threats to Ohio Congressman over Medicaid cuts

DAYTON, Ohio — A Dayton man has been charged with making violent threats against U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan after the Republican lawmaker supported legislation that would cut Medicaid benefits, according to a federal court filing.

Jeffrey Dorsey, 60, is accused of leaving a profane and threatening voicemail at Jordan’s Washington office late last month, telling the congressman he would be “a dead [expletive]” if he voted to reduce Medicaid coverage, The Daily Beastreported Wednesday.
