City council approves $250,000 toward vehicle repairs for low-income residents

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Council approved $250,000 that will go toward a program that provides free vehicle safety repairs.

Project Taillight aims to help low-income residents remain safe in their cars. The funding will allow the City Attorney’s Office to contract with local repair partners, Lindsay Automotive and MDDR Enterprises. They’ll help with repairs for items like brakes, lighting, mirrors and more that will be free of cost to residents.
