COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A heavy police presence developed outside of a north Columbus bar and one suspect is on the loose after another person was fatally shot early Friday morning.
According to Columbus police, officers arrived to Ledo’s Tavern, in Old North Columbus, between the Ohio State campus and Clintonville. One victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The victim, identified as 40-year-old Bryan Morris Jr., was pronounced dead a short time later, while the suspected shooter fled the scene in a white BMW. Police originally said the shooting occurred on the patio, just as the bar was closing at 2:26 a.m., but are also canvasing areas just outside of the bar.
At around 7 a.m., the suspect’s car was found parked at the LC New Albany Apartment Complex, but the suspect was not in the immediate area.
The incident closed area streets around the intersection of North High Street and Duncan Street for several hours while authorities investigate, which includes reviewing video surveillance inside and outside of the bar. All streets were opened at 5:30 a.m…
