Ohio woman wins $2M but won’t get even half the cash

TOLEDO, Ohio (WJW) — An Ohio woman scratched off the top prize of an Ohio Lottery ticket, winning $80,000 a year for 25 years. That’s $2 million.

According to a lottery press release, the Toledo woman chose the cash option of $1,000,000. After mandatory federal and state taxes, totaling 28 percent, she will take home about $720,000.

The lottery said the winning $2,000,000 Cashword ticket was purchased at Sam’s Deli on Matzinger Road in Toledo.
