A recent bust at the New Rome Motel led Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies to recover tens of thousands of dollars and a hefty stash of drugs last Thursday. In a routine patrol, a deputy noticed suspicious activity, which later led to the seizure of more than $26,000 in cash and substantial quantities of suspected cocaine and marijuana, as revealed in a social media post by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
