Man accused of biting off portion of Kroger security guard’s thumb indicted by grand jury

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man who allegedly bit off part of a security guard’s thumb at a Kroger in south Columbus was indicted Friday by a grand jury.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, dispatchers received a call around 11:25 a.m. on Aug. 6 from the Kroger, located on Parsons Avenue in Merion Village, about a man who bit off the top portion of a store security guard’s thumb.

Upon arrival, officers with the Columbus Division of Police were told that the guard was attempting to escort 58-year-old LA Willis out of the store after being trespassed by the Kroger, according to court documents…
