Thousands of pounds of cheese made, sold in Ohio recalled: FDA

MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Thousands of pounds of cheese made in Ohio are being recalled, according to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

According to an alert from the FDA, the Middlefield Original Cheese Co-Op facility in Middlefield, Ohio, is recalling over 4,500 lbs. of its White Cheddar Cheese that is sold in 40-lb. loaves.

In addition, 640 lbs. of Monterey Jack Cheese sold in 8 oz. packages, 5-lb. loaves, and 40-lb. loaves were recalled. Over 240 lb. of 100% Grass-fed Pepper Jack Cheese, sold in 8 oz. packages, was recalled as well. Lastly, 2.5 lb. of Horseradish Flavored Cheese, sold in 8 oz. packages, were recalled.
