COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Columbus police continue investigating the death of a child at a home near Rickenbacker International Airport on the south side of the city, charging the boy’s father with his death.
According to Sgt. Joe Albert, the Columbus Police Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Search Unit responded to a home on the 100 block of Buckeye Circle, near John Glenn Avenue and just north of Rickenbacker Airport.

Columbus police said Daniel A. Neal, 30, was arrested in the three-year-old boy’s death on Monday and has been charged with murder. Police allege the boy was “fatally injured by physical force.” According to court documents, Neal allegedly admitted to police that he assaulted the boy. The child was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:11 a.m.
