Columbus man accused of beating toddler to death will remain in Massachusetts

WORCESTER, Mass. (WSYX) — The Columbus man charged with the 2020 beating death of 2-year-old Ja’Mir Jones will remain in a Massachusetts jail.

Dioblis Williams appeared in court in Worcester, where he was ordered to be held without bail. He ended up signing paperwork waiving an extradition hearing.

The judge asked him in the courtroom if he had ever been treated for a mental illness or condition and how far he went in school. He told the court he had not been treated in the past, and his education ended in the tenth grade…
