Bodycam: Ohio Police Exchange Gunfire with Suspect Accused of Choking, Shooting Sister

A domestic violence call last week turned into a standoff as Ohio police exchanged gunfire with a 19-year-old man accused of choking and shooting his sister.

The incident happened at 2:35 p.m. Aug. 30 when Columbus police received calls that a man had choked and shot his sister inside a home, according to an agency news release. During one of the calls, the suspect could be heard saying, “Come get me … I got something for you all,” according to police.

When police reached the scene, they searched for the victim, who had already been take to a hospital by a family member. Officers then tried to talk with the suspect—identified as Nathen Thorn—who was barricaded upstairs. Recently released body camera footage captured the call…
