Two people arrested for stealing large amounts of meat, bread from Ohio help center

OHIO — Two individuals were arrested this week after allegedly stealing a large amount of food and other items from the Union City Help Center, police said.

The Union City Police Department reported Wednesday that the suspects took items from a freezer inside the center, including 315 pounds of hamburger and sausage, 24 packs of bacon, 36 hotdogs, 24 loaves of bread, and two boxes containing eight pies each.

Authorities also noted that one of the suspects may be connected to recent vehicle break-ins in the area…
