Two Juveniles Charged Following Columbus Police Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle

In what unfolded as a routine sighting of a stolen vehicle, Columbus Police officers found themselves in a pursuit that ended with two juveniles under arrest. According to a social media post by the Columbus Division of Police, last night, October 14, officers located a Kia that had been reported stolen from Fairfield County.

The incident began near Cleveland Ave. and East 11th Ave. at about 6 p.m., when officers spotted the stolen vehicle. The attempt to make a routine traffic stop quickly escalated as the Kia, driven by the suspects, decided to flee. The pursuit spanned several blocks, but with the assistance of the CPD helicopter, the escapade was short-lived, eventually coming to a halt after a brief chase.
