OHIO — A coordinated law enforcement operation led by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of 23 individuals unlawfully present in the United States.
The operation, conducted in partnership with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the county’s 287(g) program, targeted individuals with prior criminal convictions, active warrants, and violations of immigration law. It took place over several days at multiple locations across Butler County.
“Our goal is to keep Butler County safe,” said Sheriff Richard Jones. “The 287(g) partnership allows our deputies to work hand-in-hand with ICE to remove individuals who have broken our laws or pose a risk to our community.”…
