“You hurt her and let her suffer;” 5-month-old girl died after the 32-year-old man her mother dated for three months fractured her skull and then blamed the injuries to a fall; man charged

Ohio – In a disturbing case in Ohio that has left a community reeling, a 32-year-old man, identified as G. McIntosh, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s 5-month-old daughter, identified as A. Reynolds. Prosecutors say McIntosh fatally injured the baby while he was left alone to care for her, then fled the home and later tried to claim that her devastating injuries were the result of a fall. McIntosh remains in custody at the county jail on a $2 million bond, following a court appearance last week where prosecutors detailed the horrific final moments of the child’s life.

According to court documents, McIntosh had been dating the victim’s mother for about three months and was living with her and her children at their home in Ohio. On October 13, the mother left the residence for roughly an hour with her two older children, leaving her 5-month-old daughter in McIntosh’s care. When she returned, McIntosh allegedly left the home immediately, saying nothing about the baby’s condition.

Shortly after, the mother found her 5-month-old daughter limp and rushed the baby to the hospital. The girl’s mother, whose identity hasn’t been publicly revealed, tried desperately to get in touch with McIntosh as doctors worked to save her daughter’s life, searching for answers about her daughter’s condition but to no avail. According to reports, McIntosh initially ignored his girlfriend’s texts and calls. When he finally responded, McIntosh claimed the infant had fallen, insisting that her injuries were accidental. But medical examiners quickly determined the child’s wounds were inconsistent with any fall, revealing instead a brutal assault that caused multiple skull fractures and blunt force trauma. The 5-month-old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later…
