(WJW) – An Ohio trail has been named among the Most Haunted Hikes in the U.S. by Outside magazine.
According to the adventure magazine, Old Man’s Cave Trail in Hocking Hills State Park is among the “the most frightening trails” in the Midwest.

The editor isn’t the first to report on the trail’s haunting tales.
According to TheHockingHills.org, Old Man’s Cave is haunted by an old 1700s trapper, whose body was discovered by two boys nearly 100 years after his death.
His ghost walked by the boys with a white wolfhound at his side and disappeared at the end of the cave. For years after, many traveled to see the old man’s bones lying in a shallow grave. It was first called Dead Man’s Cave, then later changed to a less-creepy version, “Old Man’s Cave.”…
