On August 30, just before midnight, Columbus police were called to the scene of a shooting on the 1500 block of W. Broad St. According to a social media post by the Columbus Division of Police, officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. An investigation into the incident revealed that the victim had earlier in the evening been involved in an altercation with two suspects, resulting in the shooting.
The confrontation, which escalated to violent extremes, was between the victim and two named suspects, 26-year-old Adam Compnotta Jr. and 29-year-old Matthew Tedrick-Conkey.
