Columbus Woman Charged with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide After Fatal Parking Lot Incident in Westerville

A tragic series of events unfolded in Westerville, Ohio, where Danielle Henry, a Columbus resident, was charged after a minor collision escalated to the loss of a man’s life. Court records indicate that Henry, aged 34, faces accusations that include aggravated vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter, following a confrontation in a Kroger parking lot on Wednesday morning. The situation tragically culminated in the death of Ibrahim Diakite, after he was dragged under a vehicle for an extended distance.

According to LOCAL12, Diakite confronted Henry post-collision by stopping his car in front of hers and mounting the hood in an effort to prevent her from fleeing the scene. Reports allege that Henry accelerated to 45 mph, dragging Diakite between 300 to 600 feet before he fell off and was subsequently run over.

In addition to the charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter, Henry is also charged with one count of hit-skip and one count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
