A Columbus, Ohio, woman has filed a lawsuit against the hospital system and doctor who treated her husband before his death.
Jessica D’Varga, a Franklin County Municipal Court Judge, accused Dr. Steven Huff, OhioHealth Physician Group Inc. and OhioHealth Corporation in the Oct. 14 complaint of negligent care that led directly to her husband’s death. The lawsuit was filed in Franklin County Common Pleas Court.
Her husband, Jacob D’Varga, was 49 when he passed away in October 2024. He had high blood pressure, and he told his doctor during a June appointment months before his death that he had chest pain with tightness “radiating down his left arm,” the court filing said.
