White Castle has opened a new restaurant prototype called the ‘Castle of Tomorrow’ near downtown Columbus, Ohio. The design combines traditional features with updated technology. The project was developed with local firm WD Partners to update the restaurant’s layout and operations.
Jamie Richardson, White Castle’s vice president, said the new restaurant includes changes to the kitchen and mobile ordering process. The goal is to improve efficiency for staff and convenience for customers. The prototype includes self-service kiosks, an open dining area, and a kitchen designed for better workflow.
Other features include a walk-up counter for mobile orders, double drive-thru lanes, and doors for direct meal delivery to cars. The building’s exterior combines classic castle design with modern elements. The restaurant also has a sign that changes from ‘White Castle’ during the day to ‘Night Castle’ at night, highlighting its late-night hours…
