Franklin County voters approve levy to fund mental health services for 10 years

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Franklin County voters have approved a 10-year levy for the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board, ensuring continued support for critical mental health and addiction services.

The levy will cost property owners $74 for every $100,000 of taxable value, and slightly less for most homeowners who receive the owner-occupancy tax credit. It won with nearly 66% of votes, according to unofficial results.

Without the levy, it would have meant deep cuts and that would have affected providers. It would have meant thousands of people that are getting services now would not be able to get services in the future…
