Columbus City Schools’ officials considering cutting more than 400 jobs amid financial problems

The Columbus Board of Education is considering eliminating up to 445 jobs as it works to slash $50 million from its budget amid state and federal budget cuts.

Superintendent Angela Chapman made the recommendation at a joint committee meeting of the board Thursday night.
