(WKBN) – Two small earthquakes were recorded near Ohio this weekend–but you probably didn’t feel them.
A 1.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded a few miles north of Orangeville at 2:37 a.m. Saturday. Affected areas included Orangeville, Niles and Columbus in Ohio and Hermitage and Sharon in Pennsylvania, according to the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS).
Another earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 hit the southern side of Ohio at 12:44 a.m. Sunday, with its origin just north of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. The quake affected numerous cities in northern Kentucky, as well as Portsmouth, just north of the Kentucky-Ohio border…
