4 big property tax changes that could hit your bill in 2026 nearing approval

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Four major property tax bills could hit Gov. Mike DeWine’s desk this week and reshape how every Ohio homeowner pays for schools, police and parks next year.

These bills represent “the most impactful legislation probably in the last 50 years, maybe in the last 80 or 90 years,” Rep. Bill Roemer, a Summit County Republican, said.
