Northeast Columbus lounge shuttered after dozens of violent incidents, liquor law violation

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A Franklin County nightclub that has been subject to an investigation since August has been shut down effective immediately.

According to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, an after-hours nightclub within the northeast section of Columbus has been shuttered after operating without a liquor permit and being subject to dozens of violent incidents since the summer.

Beginning in 2025, the Kaze Lounge on Westerville Road in Mifflin Township has been the reported site of complaints taken by Mifflin and Clinton Township police.

Over the past five months, the prosecutor’s office said that law enforcement has been called to the club 45 times for criminal activity, including shots fired, robberies, assaults and other disturbances. Police have witnessed fights, people passed out in their vehicles parked in the area and trash discarded into neighboring businesses’ parking lots…
