COLUMBUS, OHIO — A dump truck driving with its bed fully raised caused chaos on an Ohio highway Tuesday morning when it slammed into two overhead signs, toppling one onto the roadway and triggering massive traffic delays across the Columbus area.
The incident, captured on traffic cameras operated by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), occurred along a major stretch of highway in the city. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported, though several lanes were closed for hours as crews worked to clear the debris.

Footage released by ODOT shows the dump truck traveling at full speed with its dump bed raised high above the cab. As it passed beneath the first overhead sign, the structure visibly bent backward before collapsing onto the road moments later. A second sign was also struck and damaged as the truck continued forward.
