Multiple inches of snow expected across Ohio this weekend

OHIO — The National Weather Service has issued a series of winter weather advisories for northwest and west central Ohio, warning residents of snow and potentially hazardous road conditions beginning Saturday morning.

The advisory affects counties including Allen, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock, Seneca, Wyandot, Darke, Mercer, and Van Wert, along with cities such as Bowling Green, Perrysburg, Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Findlay, Fremont, Upper Sandusky, Carey, Richmond, Celina, Greenville, and Lima.

Snowfall and Wind:

  • Northwest Ohio: 3 to 5 inches of snow expected from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, with wind gusts up to 35 mph.
  • Allen, Darke, and Mercer Counties: 3 to 5 inches of snow expected from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7–9 a.m. Sunday, with winds up to 35 mph.

Travel Impacts:

Motorists are warned that roads, bridges, and overpasses are likely to become slick and hazardous, making travel potentially difficult. The National Weather Service urges drivers to slow down, exercise caution, and plan for extra travel time
