After 45 calls to police, operating with no liquor license, local nightclub closed by county officials

A Northeast Side night club with a history of police calls and violent incidents has been shuttered by county officials.

According to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, the owner of Kaze Lounge, which is located at 3912 Westerville Rd. in a former auto body shop, agreed to a preliminary order to shut down the club on Nov. 19. A hearing related to a permanent injunction for the nightclub will be held on Jan. 16.

Clinton and Mifflin township police began receiving complaints about Kaze over the summer. In the last five months, police have been called to the property 45 times, for everything from robberies and shots fired to domestic assaults and more.
