In Bucyrus, Ohio, (OSHP) Highway Patrol Officer Timothy G. Hayes came to the rescue of a large friendly pooch who had managed to escape from his owner late last month.
According to the Instagram account from the OSHP, it had been on November 21, when Trooper Hayes spotted the dog named Rufus running freely on State Highway 98. The dog could easily have been hit by a car; that is until Officer Hayes was able to block traffic until he could capture the playful pup.
No sooner had Rufus been corralled by the officer, when a neighbor was able to make sure Rufus was returned to his owner. The department called Rufus’ rescue a “paw-sitive rescue.”…
