OHIO — Officials are reminding older Ohioans that they can find relief this winter on their home energy bills through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
What You Need To Know
- The Ohio Department of Development and the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services said HEAP helps Ohioans at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for a household up to eight members
- The program applies to utility or bulk fuel bills and can help manage heating costs
- Benefits will be applied to the energy bill after Jan. 1 and applications for the program must be received by May 31, 2026
