COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — As winter tightens its grip on Columbus, HVAC experts are emphasizing the importance of heating maintenance to prevent costly breakdowns. Local technicians report a surge in service calls as temperatures plummet.
“Yeah, we’ve had an excessive amount of calls here since the snow fell,” Matt Daubenmire, general manager at Columbus Worthington Air, said.

“Systems are running harder and longer than they have up to this point,” Justin Smith, Atlas Butler Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, HVAC team lead said. “A lot of the little nuisance things or the things that you don’t see when it’s 50 degrees outside start to rear its head.”
