Man arrested after accidentally sending meth through Ohio bank drive-thru

OHIO — Tellers at a Woodsfield bank were surprised Wednesday when a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, believed to be methamphetamine, was sent through the drive-thru air tube.

An investigation revealed that 46-year-old Jason G. Smith of Woodsfield had unknowingly sent the substance during a banking transaction. Smith was later located in Wayne Township by Ohio Department of Natural Resources officers.

Monroe County deputies, with assistance from K9 Max, recovered additional suspected drugs and drug-related items from Smith’s truck. He was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail…
