OHIO — The Dayton Police Department says officers have confiscated more than 800 firearms and made more than 300 arrests tied to violent gun crimes so far this year.
In a social media update, the department reported that between January 1 and October 31, 2025, officers recovered 812 firearms and arrested 345 people in connection with offenses such as homicide, aggravated assault, and aggravated robbery.
