Ohio Governor Mike DeWine appears poised to make one a consequential decision as his term winds down next year – potentially ending the state’s death penalty system that has languished under his unofficial moratorium since 2019.
“He hinted last week that when he finally announces his stance, he will oppose capital punishment,” Lisa Garvin explained on Monday’s episode of Today in Ohio, the news podcast discussion from cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer.
