One person arrested after slashing 18-year-old in face with box cutter in Ohio

OHIO — A Toledo man is facing a felonious assault charge after police say he slashed a teenager in the face with a box cutter near the city’s Main Library on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a police report, an altercation occurred around 3:20 p.m. near 325 N. Michigan St. between an 18-year-old and a 34-year-old suspect, identified as Leo Webb. Although the address listed corresponds to the Main Library, a library spokesperson said the incident happened off library property.

Police said Webb used a box cutter to slash at the teenager’s face during the fight, and the assault was captured on nearby surveillance cameras.
