Struggling 65-year-old fast food chain closes last Columbus location amid lawsuits

Unpaid royalties and unpaid rent are just some of the problems facing this 65 year old fast-food chain, resulting in a closure here in Columbus.

When Hardee’s declared bankruptcy a couple of years ago, an 80-unit franchisee called ARC Burger bought them out. And now, Hardee’s is suing them.

The fast-food chain known for charbroiled burgers and biscuit breakfast sandwiches filed a lawsuit against ARC Burger last month, stating that ARC owes them $6.5 million in unpaid royalties, marketing funds, and rent in 28 of their locations…
