Officials confirm first fisher in an Ohio county since the 1800s

OHIO — A population that was once whipped out in Ohio in the 1800s has very slowly been making a comeback, according to Ohio officials.

While there’s been sightings here and there, the fisher cat has resurfaced in Cuyahoga County, with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources confirming footage captured earlier this year.
