Ohio offers heating assistance to help eligible families stay warm this winter

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Ohio Department of Development and The Breathing Association are offering heating assistance to income-eligible Ohioans through the Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program (HEAP).

We’re proud to show up for Ohioans when they need us most, especially when Ohio winters create challenges for individuals and families.

The program provides one-time aid to those facing service disconnection, needing to establish new service, or with low bulk fuel levels. Last year, it helped over 73,000 households with $25.5 million in benefits…
