OHIO — A young woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning after falling asleep at the wheel, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 118 and Houk Road. An initial investigation determined that a gray Chevrolet Cruze, driven by an 18-year-old woman from Celina, was traveling southbound on State Route 118 when the driver fell asleep.
Officials said the vehicle crossed left of center and struck a mailbox before crashing into a utility pole. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the driver was transported to Mercer Health for treatment of minor injuries…
