Columbus woman recovers stolen tricycles worth over $10,000 through social media, police sting

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus woman whose two custom tricycles were stolen from her garage has recovered both bikes through a combination of social media crowdsourcing and a coordinated police operation that led to an arrest.

Eva Simons woke up on Dec. 8 to find her detached garage had been broken into, with the side door forced open and the garage door left half up. Both her red and blue tricycles—worth more than $10,000 combined—were gone.
