Holiday sleepovers to start at Franklin County Dog Shelter

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center is holding its annual holiday sleepover, where residents can take a dog home for a couple of nights.

The program is an opportunity for dogs to relax in a new place, while giving them a break from the shelter. The sleepover event also gives the shelter some insight on how the dogs act and behave in a home environment.

Shelter pickup is happening Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4340 Tamarack Blvd. in Columbus. Dog drop-offs will be Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 29 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
