COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus City Schools had already committed to being carbon-free by 2050 and having 100% clean energy by 2035, but this week, the Columbus Board of Education passed a policy that set benchmarks to help the district reach those goals while being cost-effective.
The Safe Green Schools policy allows the district to treat sustainability as a way to balance the budget.
