Man arrested in connection with 2022 theft of over $250,000 worth of jewelry

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Police announced the arrest of a man nearly four years after the theft of over $250,000 in jewelry.

According to Columbus police, officers went to a jewelry store at Tuttle Mall on January 2, 2022, around 6 p.m., after a report of a burglary. The store said several glass cases were smashed, and over $250,000 in jewelry was missing.

Police filed a theft charge against Dashaun Allen, 24, in November, and he was arrested by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office on Christmas Eve…
