Columbus, Ohio — An Ashville man was killed Tuesday morning in a high-speed crash on northbound U.S. Route 23, according to Columbus Police Department reports.
The victim, identified as Sean Kenneth Moore, 34, of Ashville, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:57 a.m. on December 30, 2025. Police say Moore was driving a black 2017 Audi A4 northbound on US-23 when his vehicle struck the right rear of a 2023 white Freightliner semi-truck tractor-trailer. The semi was also traveling northbound at an estimated 35 mph in the area near London-Groveport Road.
After the impact, the Audi veered off the right side of the roadway and slid into a wooden fence. The collision caused disabling damage to the Audi, which required extrication by Hamilton Township Fire Department Medic 172 and Columbus Fire Heavy Rescue units.
